The hammer is one of the most primitive implements of humankind. At its most basic, it consists of a weighted head attached to a handle or shaft. In general, the head is made of steel, and handles are made of wood, fiberglass, or metal.
Of all the different designs, the claw hammer is the most famous. It has a flat, striking face for driving nails and a curved claw for extraction. Hammers range widely in size and weight, each designed for particular applications — from delicate woodworking to heavy construction work.
In this drawing lesson, we are going to draw a claw hammer.
