Today, we’re excited to share a fun and accessible drawing tutorial that teaches you how to draw a peanut! This beginner-friendly lesson breaks down the process into easy-to-follow steps that anyone can master—even children.

Peanuts, native to South America, are now cultivated all over the world — particularly in the American South, parts of Africa and Asia. It’s a polyvalent food that serves many functions — as snacks, peanut butter, cooking ingredients, and oils.
Peanuts are nutritional powerhouses, full of protein, fiber, vitamin E, niacin and magnesium. They can be eaten on their own as a filling snack or paired nicely with a meal.
This short tutorial offers a simple, methodical way to teach kids how to draw a peanut. The steps are simple to understand and written for young artists, making it a great addition to elementary art lessons or creative homeschool time.

Step by Step Instructions for Drawing a Peanut.
Step – 1
Begin by sketching out the shape of the peanut. Draw the left side of the peanut using a curved line.

Step – 2
Complete the outline of the peanut shell. As in the previous step, draw the rest part of the peanut shell. Add a small stalk on the right side of the peanut, as shown below.

Step – 3
Now add more details on the peanut shell, and draw several horizontal and wavy lines extending across the peanut shell, as shown in the example.

Step – 4
Make the peanut shell more realistic. Among the previously drawn lines, draw short, slightly curved vertical lines.

Step – 5
Draw out some peanut seeds. Beneath the peanut shell, draw out some peanut seeds, as shown below.

Step – 6
Color the drawing
