Hello dear, welcome to bestartprojects.com. I bring you a simple bird drawing tutorial, in today lesson you will learn how to draw a duck within a few steps.
Duck is an aquatic bird. There more than 100 different types duck species. They can be found on every continent except Antarctica. This plenty birds can fly, walk and swim.
Materials you may need to complete this drawing
- Pencil
- Drawing papers
- Coloring supplies (Crayons or colored pencils)

Step-by-step guides for drawing a Duck.
Step – 1
Start from the duck’s beak, draw out the beak using smooth lines and add the nostril on the beak as shown below.
Step – 2
Depict the duck’s eye. Draw the eye using circles and curved lines.
Step – 3
Now draw the duck’s head and neck using curved and smooth lines.
Step – 4
Draw the duck’s oval like shaped torso using curved lines and add the tail at the end of the torso.
Step – 5
Sketch out the legs, draw shanks and feet as in the image below.
Step – 6
Add more details in the torso. Draw out wings and feathers in the duck’s body.
Step – 7
Color the duck drawing. Different ducks come with many colors. In this tutorial we have decided to use orange and gray colors.
